How long since you went to the salon/hairdresser?

The last time I went was summer of 2019, so over 5 years ago.

2 months. I microtrim my own hair, but I try to go to the salon every 6 months or so to refresh the overall shape. My hairdresser knows I want TBL hair, so we're focusing on length retention vs perfectly blunt ends at the moment ( tho I can't wait till I have those again!)

Oh, decades ago!
I went several different times when I was a teenager because I thought what I wanted done needed 'expert' help. Yep, they totally falafeled it up, even with magazine photos. So I just went back to doing it myself. Better results, cheaper, creatively rewarding.
My whole family have always been Bathroom Hairdressers anyway, even for things like shaving mohawks, dramatic colour changes, hennaed dreadlocks, and Mum has done Dad's hair as far back as I can remember.

Last went to one in December 2021, and as long as my hair's long I don't plan on going again! I'm not against it by any means, but my hair just doesn't seem to need trims at all, so in my eyes, why bother? I'll take all the length I can get right now! For when the time finally comes, the prospect of trimming/cutting it myself sounds kinda fun too, haha.

It is!
Although, just quietly, there were a few I wouldn't want to own up to back in the day.
I bleached a stripe once in my punky short hair when I was about 14 years old just because I wanted to see if I could do a neat stripe. We wore uniforms and had rules about what you could and couldn't wear, you weren't even supposed to wear make-up, but as always I didn't feel that these rules applied to me. I never did get in trouble for it! I had a theory that it was such an egregious breach of dress code that all the teachers assumed someone had already told me off for it. Tee hee, I was such a punk rocker at school.
