I have a paddle brush style wet brush and it is my favorite for detangling

    Yes, get rid of it!

I recently got a brush designed for wet hair, some off brand I can't remember right now. Wow - what a game changer. I've never been happier with a brush. The bristles are so flexible that they won't rip through anything. I have thick fine to medium hair.
