Here a Woven Flip Bun:

I'm experimenting currently in if flipping the hair initially or rather not and instead twisting the hair on both sides only. Here the hair was flipped at the beginning. The ponytail holder was brought out afterwards without any hassle. :-)

I don't know how long it's been since I posted in this thread.
I managed a quick French braided bun with a ton of bobby pins this morning before church. I'm amazed it's still holding up at 5 pm.
