I don't remember when I last trimmed. Years and years ago.
Go for it. There aren't any hair police (though the need occasionally surfaces ... I didn't say that did I?). I've "lost" my scissors for nearly a year and a half now and my hair is looking pretty great if I do say so myself.

Opting out of Friend Requests, thank you very much!
Of course it's okay. It's your hair, you can do whatever you want with it.
long hair is self care ♡

It'll all come down to your hair, how prone to split-ends it is, whether you're doing anything damaging to it, etc. Some people can definitely go years between trims, others can't. I can't, so I trim fairly regularly- every few months or so.
Six months can definitely be doable, especially if your hair is healthy and you don't have many split ends to begin with.
I went from collarbone to hip length in three years. I went three, or almost three years with no trims, from a neck-length bob to waist or so. I have since trimmed once a few centimetres, to even out the hemline a little bit, and I have done s&d's to cut off split ends. You can go without trims however long you want and what is appropriate for your hair! Some people also prefer a very neat and thick hemline, some people like the ends to be a bit wispy, so that too affects the decision of trimming or not. I don't like super thin wispy ends, but some fairytailing is very pretty, especially in wavy and curly hair.
Now my plan is to grow to TBL until my next trim, but I'm not super strict with these goals. I'd rather trim a little bit than feel frustrated with how my ends look like! After that I will either grow to classic and maintain there, or trim back to TBL and maintain, so obviously I will then start trimming more often.
