I am looking forward to becoming a renegray. I have actually spotted one silver strand and love knowing that it’s hiding in amongst my colour. I don’t think I’m going grey as quickly as my mum did but I might not be remembering that well: she was quite distressed because she had a badger stripe around her ears on either side. I don’t think I could be bothered with the upkeep of dying it even if I didn’t like the way grey comes through.

I voted and wrote in this thread and also the henna thread that I will cover my grays with natural herbs... but I already changed my mind. Thing is, I can never choose between two opposing things, wanting them both at the same (impossible most of the time). I would not ever use a chemical dye, permanent or temporary, to cover grays. I had wanted to henna, but after reading most of the cherry cola/burgundy henna thread yesterday, it reminded me how much work henna is (though I really admire it very much on others!) and also how much I dislike roots showing on myself (regardless if dyed with henna or anything else). So, for now, I´m back to wanting greys. So far they come sparsely and are pretty silver, not dishwasher grey like my mother (but she frequently dyed them so that probably made them look worse). I might change my mind again in the future.

I voted "Yep", and that's from experience because I was mostly gray 10 years ago. Back then I'd dye it to match my original dark brown, but the cheap dye would bleach to blonde over time. That's how I learned that gray is a great chance to experiment with lighter colors. No bleaching required! :-) So for about 8 years I've been dying to a light blonde. :-)

I had to vote "cheese" because I dye my hair... but it's because I want red hair (henna), not to cover up the grays/silvers (it's actually my ashy natural color I want to cover up/shift more warm-toned). One good thing about hennaing the grays, though, is that they'll come out very bright with the henna (unlike my dark regular color).
Putting it in my signature because I have to say it so often:

I already have some gray and silver in my hair but I haven't dyed it yet. I love the way gray hair looks on so many people and I'm hoping I'll like the way mine looks once it really starts to turn.

Yes, but not my natural color, and only once a good chunk of it has turned grey. My hair's currently at the darker end of medium brown, and while I want to try dying it a really dark blue without lightening it first in any way, I plan to experiment a lot more with unnatural colors once it turns grey and gets light enough to dye some brighter shades without bleaching

I'm a little gray but I'm growing out my natural color and I won't be dyeing my hair until I turn at least 50% grey. Then I will go blonde I suppose, it will be easier with all the grey already being light and more flattering to aging skin to reduce the contrast between the skin and the face cause I'm very pale.

Although I should also say... I'd be more okay with my hair going gray if it would go all over, like, consistently. But it looks like I'm going to be like my mom, who went gray around her hairline/face but not too much elsewhere-- in the back her hair was barely gray at all. It didn't look bad; I just prefer the more even look. I know people who have their grays scattered all through their hair, and it looks nice. My grays are pretty-- a nice, shiny silver-- and if they were all over, I'd like them more. (Still hate the ugly cool-toned/ashy base color, though.)
