I was going to throw out my henna and grow my natural out so I can go back to my hot pink but it's a waste of money so I'm going to use up all my stash first just to give the red a chance, then if I still want the hot pink I can grow it out then
So hey everybody...for root touch-ups, do you cover your hair? How do you make sure the rest of your hair doesn't get henna on it? Thanks!
I don't do anything, just henna the first inch or so. The little bit of overlap doesn't present a problem (and all I've done are root touchups for like a decade so if it was going to show by now it would have). I'm using a diluted henna blend, YMMV with straight henna.

For root touchups I use a similar technique - I section into five sections which I prop up with clamps and do one section at a time holding the hair up while mashing the henna into the roots/scalp with the other.
