I have a long facial shape, which should be bad for long hair; at the very least, all the guides recommend bangs and lots of volume.
But the way it waves when short around the temples make me look even worse, and very long hair with no layers actual makes my face look rounder than any of those recommended guides. It is also easier to keep very long hair out of the face, than it is when shorter

Very, very very square, which is why short hair looks absolutely horrendous on me.

I honestly have no idea what my face shape is but I look fine with hair short or long, though I've never had it shorter than jaw length.
