Thank you for your reply! I’m looking forward to trying this style someday.

Could anyone give me an estimate of the minimum hair length you have to have in order to do this bun? I’m curious as to how long I have to wait
Thank you! For doing this bun at shorter lengths, you could always split your hair into sections (it thins and lengthens all at once)--maybe do a half-up (split horizontally--bun the top section and leave the lower bit down), or twin buns (split/parted vertically)? Or if your hair is too short still, split it into even more sections (3, 4, 8...). Any bun can be done as long as there's enough flexible length to twirl (so not on a buzzcut or pixie with a few inches of growth... ).

This is one of those buns that I have to rotate an extra 1/4 to 1/2 turn before I pin down. It holds well enough; just needs a bit more torque to stay put.
    So...knee?
