CBL here too! I'm really about 1-2" from my longest bits being an APL. I do feel like I've been here FOREVER, like 1+ years, but I have to remind myself I've had two cuts trying to even out terrible pixie cut layers.

I can now reach up my back and TOUCH my ends though, which is an uber exciting development

I've found that the sideways paw clips (name?) are better for thicker hair than claw clips which are only good for half-ups. https://www.amazon.com/Parcelona-Fre.../dp/B0167GA4U6

    Hope this works for you!

Awesome! I’ll have a look if I can find something similar here. Makes sense that it holds better when it’s flat on one side. Thank you!

Oh also, I just sleep with my hair loose at night, I hate having it up when I'm sleeping... Might have to switch methods as it gets longer though, don't want unnecessary damage
    Congratulations! Your hair looks lovely

Hi guys! I've been growing out a buzz cut since March 2018. So my hair is pretty much layers of various lengths. I've given myself bangs since then and trimmed the ends in a deva cut kind of fashion. I've been wearing it down since it's been shoulder length/APL spectrum. Any advice on starting to put it up? When I was active on here in the past I had a much more established LHC routine of caring for my hair and have absolutely no idea how I did what I did but my hair was happy and long lol. I'd love any help!

My hair hovers around shoulder when dry, but stretches further. Don't know how to measure tightly curly hair.

I can recommend to all of you cause now I wake up with unbelievably shiny hair!
That looks cool. I guess it's kinda similar to what I started doing: wrapping a satin scarf around my head. Buuuut I have one problem with this: I loose it/take it out during night Does that happen to you, with this bonnet?

Not sure if my hair can be considered shoulder length yet because of my 3,000+ layers but let's take a wild guess and say it can because my last layer goes slightly past. Going for APL and putting off trimming until at least June 2020.

Wow, you really made a huge progress I would say the longest parts are already at collarbone.
Have fun with the journey and happy growing!
Are you planning to get rid of the layers?
