Shoulder | Armpit

Hi, thanks for welcoming me. I have grown to this length so many times and then done something crazy, usually involving bleach, which would fry my hair and send me back to shorter lengths. I am doing my best to just let it be but it is such a boring length that doesn’t suit me at all. Any tips on patience would be welcome.

I totally understand! I really dislike this length as well. For me kind of 'accepting that my hair won't look nice for a while' has kind of helped. I do know that after this it gets better from about APL. Not sure if that helps you but that's basically the only thing that works for me. And doing a lot of hairtreatments meanwhile as to keep it healthy and looking good.

I am sure this question has been asked to death

...but what style is the most protective for this length? I'm right past shoulder and I can't find a way around using hair ties so I'm going with the fluffy 80's scrunchies most of the time, either in a French braid, English braid, regular ponytail, or some sort or high unstable messy bun.
Any ideas?

I prefer peacock twist held by a good claw clip at the moment. I haven't been able to wear a basic ponytail for a while now and my buns aren't very stable.

Hope this image isn't too big; it's kind of weird taking my top off for this photo lol. I also feel like my bra strap slips down a bit. But I think I'm at APL. What do you think?

Edit: There is static in my hair. Lol

My hair is at an awkward stage right now, it still feels really short. Tbh, I think you're about the same length as I am..
