Welcome chestnutlocks! Seems like we are taking the same journeyDid you notice a difference in your hair when you switched to washing twice a week? My hair used to be really oily near my scalp and really dry in the ends. Since washing 2 or three times a week it looks much softer and more important, less oily! Still cannot stretch it to once a week, no matter what I try.
I've been sneaking around this thread about two months already, and finally I can proudly join the party here.
I believe I could say I'm at SL now. At least I feel now I belong here more then in Growing CL to SL thread.
Here's my entering photo. I hope I could reach APL in November.
Happy growing, everyone!

Welcome to the forum!
If you need to wash your hair every day, there's nothing wrong with that. If your scalp is oily, it's best for its health to wash. Of course, if you get no symptoms like itching or shedding, then not washing is fine, too. Me, I wash anywhere from every other day to a week, depending on where I need to be and if I can bother.

Begemot, thanks!
One question. How do you measure and know that your hair reached collarbone length?
Are you counting it when all hair cover that bone completely, or you measure only hair around the face and ears ?
I would love to cut down on my washings - I wash every day before work - but my scalp actually gets sore if it's not done every single day. The hair hurts, similarly to hair that's been pulled in the wrong direction and then let loose? I also have a very oily scalp. Has anyone conquered this problem?
