Put it up and forget about it. That's the best way to avoid the awkwardness.

I'm determined to get past the length I usually cut it at so this is definitely gonna have to be my solution :P

    Or embrace your inner Hanson!

Seriously thought I totally can relate to this, I spent most of my childhood looking like the youngest one.

Well mine I think would be considered shoulder length BUT it's such a doggone mess that it's just gonna take forever to correct. My stylist tells me there's a good 2 inches on the bottom that is pretty much just toast but I told her I don't want to lose any more length and would rather just have little baby trims every 8 weeks until it is gone, that way I can at least keep more length. But at the same time, the top of my hair unfortunately all broke off to about a little over 2" and is more or less like a pixie cut, so pixie cut on top and shoulder length, not a pretty sight. I'll just continue with my hats/turbans. Can't really even put it up because when I do, the fried ends just stick out and look horrible.

Aah, I'm so near! My hair is now 57 cm, and 58 is definitely APL for me. So a month, then I should be there (again). I really hope I can wait with trimming, so that I can keep it below APL this time.

Hi all! Had my big chop from BSL to SL due to a massive shed in Nov 2018 and it's been a slow 3months of growth. I am about 3inches away from APL and I hope this time I can reach there with a thicker hemline and minimal shed!

Oh dear, breakages are the worst! Do take extra care when brushing or combing your hair during this period.

It's definitely gonna take me a while to get to APL. Before I cut my hair above shoulder again, I remember getting to APL was the longest stage I've experienced so far. Here's to another long journey.
