Hello and welcome Milady_DeWinter! So happy you've joined us! Wow, your braid is gorgeous! I know the feeling of being at the same length for a long time now since may-june of last year. You'll make it BCL sometime this year I think. I'm also hoping to hit BCL at the end of this year also.

It depends on my mood....I usually dust the racers every month, and then quarterly I do hemline maintenance.

If I am shaping it or feel like having it a bit shorter I do it then....but it grows back over the next few months.

It's amazing how just an inch or so makes such a big difference in look and feel, so I don't snip much

I never dare to do calculations, I just estimate something in my mind and it usually goes overboard, so I feel happy when I find my ends in unexpected locations.

You're welcome! Yep, that's what I thought. Oh, you'll be to BCL in no time. For me, BCL and TBL aren't that far apart. I would say an inch or 2 apart. Yes, that's the thing when you do braid your hair it does appear a bit shorter.

Just your curls will shorten the look; there is a 2-3" difference where my hemline lands between my post shampoo/humid weather curly days and the dry air/sleek days

Thank you so much, GG! I am still highly unhappy with my ends, but I expect them to look much better by the end of the year. Once I reach TBL, I'll be able to stall myself comfortably to thicken them.

Happy to be joining up! After over a year of chopping away layers, I’m really to just grow for awhile. I had fun today doing a bunch of measurements so I know not only where I am, but how far away I am from some future milestones.

Current: Hip at 34.5”



Upcoming:
BCL at 35.5”
TBL at 38”

I’m hoping to be there by June or so Just gotta think some happy thoughts at my follicles
