Well, you can always look up ways to encourage your waves.

It's just that they seem more damaged by chemical dyes as my hair got longer. I am not sure if i will just keep growing or trim, since damage tends to travel up and my healthy part with natural hair can get damaged eventually. They also look very sparse because of the layers i got during my short cut.

I did curly/wavy girl method for a while back then, maybe I'll try it again and see if I can detect more waviness.

That was my experience too. Dyed length starts to look kinda bad compared to virgin hair when the virgin hair grows longer. Maybe just keep an eye on the line of demarcation and see if the damage can be controlled. My length was really damaged (dyed multiple times and I used to use a flatiron almost daily) and I cut it off when my natural color reached APL, didn't notice much damage in it. I did use helluva lot of silicones back then, maybe that helped.

Have you thought about cutting say half the new growth, so you’re cutting out damage but also gaining length? For example if your hair grew half an inch a month you would trim 1 inch every 4 months. You would still gain length this way. Even a small trim of half an inch can make a big difference to how your hair feels and how your ends behave.

Well i am not thinking about a Huge trim. I think i will trim 2 inches at most. Which is about two or three months worth of growth for me, so i will still reach APL by summer.

I made an appointment on tuesday to get it done. It's been long due and i think i will feel better about my hair once i know there is even less of the dyed ends left.

It's been a while since I posted, but wanted to say that I've reached collarbone and now the long wait to get to APL! Unfortunately I'm having a heck of a time putting pictures in my album so I just updated my avatar and hoped for the best.
