Hi ladies and gents! It's finally time for me to join you.

Like my siggy says I started growing my hair again in October 2017 when I had my last pixie cut. My hair was basically boy short: buzzed sides and back with around inch on top, heavily lightened with thinning shears. I hoped to grow out with very little trimming but had to do some mullet cuts to prevent my thick hair from looking ridiculous. I'm keeping my bangs and I still have shorter layers to grow out but overall I'm close enough to shoulder length. So I decided to start the new year in a new thread.

I'll take a picture of where I am now tomorrow, January 1st.

I just stood in front of a mirror with measuring tape and tried to visualize how much growth I'll possibly have by summer... I might get to APL or very close... urgh I need to stop obsessing, just put my hair up and forget it for six months.

Thank you both! I still have some bits that don't yet reach the ponytail and fall out of peacock twists but hopefully in a month or two they will be long enough. Also, the picture doesn't really show it but my hair is a mixture of golden blond, ash blond, light brown, grey and silver - trying to find the right colored accessories is a nightmare

Welcome Rubber Ducky! Your hair is so pretty! That is really a beautiful color.

I trimmed my hair about 1/4 inch to maybe 1/2 inch today. I did Feyes method and I would say that my current hair length is the absolute shortest that you could ever use that method to trim with. I'm in the no trimming challenge so I wanted to freshen up the ends. We will see how it goes.

I attempted a french twist on straightened hair for NYE. It lasted all the way until 2019! Lol!
