Welcome, to everyone who has joined this thread of late!

Stray based on your recent pics your hair is growing beautifully.

I was told today that my hair grows fast. I know it doesn't but it was nice to hear it, all the same.

Stray mind, your hair does seem to grow really fast!!

In non hair news I am possibly visiting NYC in September so that gives me something really exciting to focus on apart from my hair eek. I love NYC it's just so far away from Australia!!

Let's see if this link works

Checking in here! Have been growing out a pixie since 2016 and I want to reach at least BSL. This is freshly washed hair. I might be close when stretched, but I want to call unstretched.

I second this, that thread was a life saver for me when I was growing out my bleached hair! I tried once in 2016 and got through the better part of a year before caving. I think this thread was what helped me get through the worst awkward stages last year without bleaching again!
Finally cut off all of my bleached hair, now it's time to grow again!

How do you guys braid short hair? My texture is hard to deal with, as some hair just slips out of the braid during/after braiding :/

I don’t have this issue myself, but for my 3yo daughter’s short hair I try to braid it whilst damp. It seems to settle into the style a little more easily if it goes in damp in comparison to being completely dry. When dry, whole pieces pop out while I’m only halfway through!!

For my CBL hair, the texture is best for braiding on second and third day hair. I spray it down with a light herbal detangler, then dutch braid both sides. I twist the ends of the two braids up into a ficcare (or bobby pins) like a braided peacock twist with tucked ends. It actually holds super super well and it is the only style that I do not have to redo throughout the day!

I recently found this tutorial and found it really helpful. It's so exciting for me to be able to braid after years in a pixie and no real braiding prior.
