Went to the local market today, and there was a stall with hair sticks and forks! I've never seen hair sticks or forks for sale offline before. So I treated myself. The first one's ebony, and it's so smooth. The hold is amazing! The second one is a type of hair toy I've been after for ages. I had a leather and wood one many years ago, but I think I ended up giving it away because I didn't know how to use it. I'm still pretty amazed I can get my hair in a bun at this length!

Thank you! I must admit, I'm loving how the pink through purple ombre turns out in buns.

I definitely feel lucky! I should have asked if the stall is there regularly, but I didn't think to. I'm hoping it'll be back, so many good ideas for gifts!

And thank you! It's been looking dull and frizzy down lately, but buns and twists seem to rescue it!

    Thank you!

I don't, sorry! I need to go find out though. All I do is gather the hair together and twist as though I was going to make a peacock twist, but then I wrap it around itself instead and tuck the ends underneath to form a bun. I'll see if I can find out what it's called, someone's bound to have made a good tutorial...

That’s an impressive bun at this length! I managed a French Twist this week that held all day - I’m fully attributing this to my recent conversions to henna for colouring. My fine hair has so much more grip since I’ve been doing that.

Gosh, your bun is perfect! I still can’t do a bun like that at waist length lol, as usual I know I’ll have a bunch of hair sticking out, mostly due to my bun skills... cough

Thank you! And congrats on the French Twist! I'm glad henna's working for you. Eventually I want to transition to henna, but I'm not done with pink and purple yet.

Thank you! I don't generally get it right first time - it takes a few attempts before before I have something that doesn't have tons of hair sticking out, or that doesn't explode the moment I stand up. Also, there's a whole lot of air in that bun!

Your hair looks amazing btw I'm in awe of the shine.

You're welcome! And thank you a lot!!
It's good to know I'm not the only one who deals with that, but regardless, I've never been able to get it looking that great, air filled or not, so kudos to you miss

We are a third of the way through the month. For those doing a hair up through April how are you getting on?

Struggling with trying new hair and not just reverting back to a pony tail.
