Finally! My taper is just below my bra strap! I didnt think it would ever get there but there is progress. I have renewed hope. No trimming has been the key for me. I cant wait until I can feel it at tailbone. I may want to run around the house naked for awhile.

I'm finally at BSL and I'm happy I can join in.

Waist is 30 inches on me. So I have 3 inches to go. Another half year at the least... And after the holidays I'll have to trim. Hmm, it will take a year I guess. I need to get those final layers out.

Thanks! It is something of my own creation. I have had some suggestions that I should name it and post directions. I just haven't gotten around to it yet. It is a variation of a chinese braided bun since my braids weren't quite long enough to give the fullness that I wanted.

It seems now that I am just past BSL its a whole new ballgame. I cant get away with any slack hair treatment like I use to. If I do I get tangles and damage. Styles that use to work dont work anymore. I feel like I have finally crossed the line into "long" hair and really need to heed the advice of the long timers. Why its important to do the things that keep long long hair in good shape is making more sense now. Its going to take a bit of readjustment thats for sure. Im looking forward to seeing what comes next.
