lyria, when I was at your length I found the wrap-knot bun worked well for me..... photos here (more in that album) and a video demo here, if it helps.

Now I'm back where I was in April, pushing me back six months, with no hope of a summer growth sput for longer, either. Waist was where I was thinking I'd finally be happy with my hair length (though my ultimate goal is hip), though I'd even be content with a long BSL (fully covering strap) to mid-back-abyss length, which I'm not going to get for a while as I'm only just touching the bra strap as it is (though it depends on the bra I'm wearing). Sorry for the rant, I'm just beating myself up enough over other stuff without worrying about my hair, too.
I understand your frustration, believe me. But I think, personally, that damage-control and trims are inevitable, so don't be too hard on yourself. I recently had to rethink my timetable of what-month-in-what-year will I be waist length, and it really got me down. Anyway, at least our ends are better, right?

Sometimes I really hate being a wavy. My hair has definitely hit waist-when-wet/stretched, but as I don't normally go out with sopping wet hair, it doesn't show! Argh!

It's about an inch or two away when dry, but I don't know how much it really has to grow to catch up. I wish it would hurry up and grow, the lazy bugger!

    Currently: tailbone length
    Next goal: classic length

My hair is really starting to get in my way. Once it's mid-back suddenly it gets caught on everything.. especially my boyfriend. I get my hair caught in his armpit twice a day.

Hiya! New to this thread, but I am glad to see so many other people with the same length as me. Depending on the waviness/straightness of my hair, on any given day I am right about BSL (bottom of brastrap) or a few inches past. An optimistic estimate is about 2-3 inches untill waist!!

However, I would like my hair to be long enough that I have a ponytail that reaches waist... which probably means tailbone should be my goal =)

    Happy growing!
Currently BSL, working on first goal of Waistlength.
Most importantly, having thick healthy hair!
