Hi Corvana I know the feeling! I do roobois tea rinses sometimes to brighten up my dark brown hair and this makes me feel as if I am changing the colour a little, even if it is temporary.

I'm scheduled to take an updated pic in December. But I just need to be patient, it's going to get back to where it was and then some.

Thanks! My most concrete "goal" is actually double buns a little smaller than that! I think about the size of my last cinnabun pic in August. Actually, Rowdy on LHC's avatar is exactly my mental picture of the double buns I want.

I've wanted good sized double buns for... Probably half my life or more, and for some reason I thought it'd be impossible because I didn't have "thick" hair. I never once considered just... Growing it really long

I was looking at my album of my general hair journey, and saw a pic from 12/2010 of my hair aboooooooout APL (it's from the front, so I'm guessing lol). I'd cut my hair to brushing shoulder in January that year. In August it was about where my hair is now, or maybe it's just the front layers. Hard to be sure

That haircut in Jan was suuuuper layered, but I did generally pull all my hair to either side so it would look thicker. But then in December it looks to be either at APL or real real close. September's picture is definitely longer than now, as my hair clearly almost hits my chest tattoo, while it's maybe an inch or so off now (I'm not going by stretched, as both now and then was clearly very flippy).

So I'm gonna conclude that my hair growth rate has slowed at some point in my life

But while it seems that the rate was cut in half (I found a pic in Feb 2011 of APL in the front, which takes longer), that's still putting me at "average" so like, it's not a big loss tbh. I just need to remind myself of that more.

ALSO! By getting overly curious, I went digging around REAL DEEP in my old facebook photos, and I found one taken before a few of the color-match photos were taken (where I was sad about the color) AND I'D DYED IT. I STRAIGHT UP WAS LIKE "DYED MY HAIR MORE RED" LIKE... PAST-ME COME ON. YOU MADE CURRENT ME REAL EFFIN SAD.

My color in the high school photo (both of these are somewhere in my blog here if you're super curious) wasn't dyed (except the black I was growing out of course). So that really was very auburn. I may have lost most of my red between then and having my kidlet, since it was still fairly auburn when I was pregnant.

Still probably maybe gonna henna next summer...

The other pictures I'm referring to aren't uploaded here as several of them feature my kidlet, and my boob in half of them as he was breastfed and I often photographed his shenanigans while nursing (like the time he was upside down and the time he stuck his big toe in my nose).

Well this had disappeared for a bit!

I'm baffled by my growth... I'm not at APL yet, but... In the front I almost am?? Like when I stretch my hair so that it's lost the flip, I'm literally an inch from my towel with the towel test. I measured! It was a bit less than 3cm.

But from the back, I'm like 2.5" away??
