Hi. I am here as well. Actually my hair is about shoulder length but in the front it is only reach my mouth

I only can do messy cinnamoon bun (at the top) with two prong wooden hair fork
Or sometimes I can do disc bun or similar something to lazy wrap. But for eg after oiling it it is impossible

My goal is first the armpit lenght but at the end I wanna tailbone length

Enjoy all the nice new growth! I cut back last year to get rid of bleached ends but still have dry ends which I am babying.
Happily growing and learning patience and gentleness with my hair.
Layered hair - keeping in the layers for now.
    chin - shoulder - collarbone - APL - BSL - waist?

Welcome to the thread! My hair is much shorter at the front as well and this also limits the styles I can do. Happy growing!

Do they work at this length? I have some, but I haven't tried using them yet - I figured I'd have them ready for when my hair gets longer!

I've got to work on appreciating two other things, though. The thickness, and just being on LHC has already helped a ton with that, by allowing me to see gorgeous long hair that's thinner than mine but still stunning, so I know that my own hair can and likely will be just as amazing, and be able to see even more struggles of those with thicknesses I tend to desire (such as difficulty putting it up at certain lengths). And of course the color! I'm tempted to try to take a photo of my hair in different lights to show myself its facets, but... like... that's so much effort LOL.
It'll be worth the effort though, I'm sure I'm glad LHC has helped - it's definitely helping me with the texture issue.

Fred I can secure my hair in a kind of bun-twist thing using one normal sized spin pin and one mini spin pin, but I can't say it feels as secure as a claw clip. Maybe in a few months...

Seems like a lot of us has damaged ends - I tried out a Maui Moisture hair mask last night and it worked wonders on my ends. There was virtually no pull when I combed it dry, it almost felt virgin! I posted about it in the Maui thread but the brand seems hit or miss

On a bun note, I use an invisibobble dupe and two spin pins. It gives the bun extra volume, and my bangs are almost long enough to be tucked in!

The Maui mask sounds great - I will look out for that.

I like your idea of giving the bun extra volume with an invisibobble But I must be doing something wrong with invisibobbles as I always manage to pull out hair when I take them out. Is there a knack to using them? Perhaps I should be more patient, lol.

lol Shanawavy! I use my thumb and forefinger to stretch the spirals and pull the tail out for each time it was looped around. Instead of sliding it though my hair, I pull my hair out of it! Not even sure this makes sense...but I haven't pulled out any hair yet!

omg so that's what they're called! I've been calling them 'those telephone wire hair tie things'. I tend to roll mine out gently - I found that just taking them out like normal pulled out at least one strand each time. That said, I also found that they usually need to have the tiny plastic join either trimmed or filed down as it's usually not as smooth as it should be. After trimming/smoothing mine, I've had no problem with them.

Just booked my first six-monthly trim. : It'll be tomorrow afternoon, and I'm determined to say no to straightening irons. My ends feel and look healthy, and I've found very few split or broken ends over the last month doing S&D (which I do each time I'm sitting down in the right light, so maybe a few times a week). I'm a bit nervous in case I don't communicate properly about how little I want trimmed, but judging by last time it'll be fine.

I'm thinking about getting something a bit more exciting done with the front, but I'm not sure. I have wispy bits that tend to go everywhere in the wind and end up in my face. I don't think a fringe would suit me, but I'm tempted to try just for the novelty. That said, when I did have a fringe as a kid - and knew nothing about styling - it was constantly a wavy/curly mess that looked terrible, so if I did get a fringe I'd need to wash, blow dry and straighten it daily. Not sure I want that hassle! The other option is face framing layers, but... nah. What I really want is to imagine that I had a fringe that had grown out to about chin length, and that wasn't at all blended into the rest. I might ask her and see what she says.
