A lot of us in this thread suffer with this to some degree. It's a rather annoying stage that gets better as your hair gets longer.

Guys, flippy ends are so cute, and something I miss about shorter length! Enjoy them!

I'm at a flippy stage too. My S-waves start when my hair is just below my shoulders. Even weirder is that one side has more wave than the other.

I think so too, especially on straight hair.

I feel like I've had no growth recently, I don't feel any closer to APL than I was after my big trim in March.

I believe flippy ends are like vanilla ice cream. Some folks like it, some don't

Ha! I can tell my ends are getting longer because more and more hair get caught under my jacket when I put it on.

Uuuuugghhh I'm late on my measurement because of a monster migraine the past two days. I never shower with a migraine because they make me super dizzy and I'm terrified of falling. Soooo I haven't washed my hair yet either. I think I can manage it now, since I've finally gotten some relief with these pain meds. But now I just don't wanna because I'm so drained from being in pain all weekend

On another note, my best friend in Iowa's birthday was today (Monday), and she posted pictures! Her hair is almost at hip now, and her daughter has the most beautiful classic length 2c blonde hair. To die for! And her daughter is her little mini-me, and I'm so sad I couldn't be there in person to celebrate with her.

ALSO! I don't know if it's just because I'm more aware of it or something, but it seems like everyone I know is wanting to grow out their hair! A beauty group I'm in on facebook has a good dozen people in various stages of growing their hair out, including several from pixies. I may or may not have mentioned here And then last week a very good friend of mine posted about tips for growing her hair out!

So I washed, and it's dry and I just measured. After comparing all of my other notes from past measurements, I don't think I mismeasured at all at any point. All of my measurements have been consistent give or take enough for general growth difference. Like less than 1/8" difference.

My baby layers have been consistently ~7" shorter than my midlayer (now all of the rest of my hair). Since that hair has been untouched, it's safe to assume it's not incorrect. Since my "outlier" of 17.5" is in fact perfectly matched with the baby layer measurement of 10.5", and today's measurements of 18.1" and 11.25", then I really have to conclude that I didn't mismeasure at all and perhaps had a bit of a growth spurt if anything else.

But I'm less than half an inch shorter than I was when I started now! But now I've got the benefit of almost everything being even. It certainly feels longer. While it was drying I was really feeling it on my upper back and shoulders. I'll have to see if hubby will take a length shot for me later! It's so much easier for him lol.

Let's talk styling. Those little too-short-to-do-anything-with bits at the nape of my neck are driving me batty!
