First off, I am new here and I was wondering if anyone suggests buying a wooden brush. I've heard a few people talk about them but I wanted to ask you guys.
Second: If so, has anyone personally used Tek wooden brushes and combs before? I have been looking at them and I don't want to spend so much money on something that might be a flop.
Thanks so much for your help

You're welcome Aunt Rapunzel and MotherofJames! I've been using it for at least a year and it is fantastic. Super easy to clean sheds from, no bristles have fallen out, the backing has the right amount of give while passing over the skull.... I just love everything about it!
Hi, I just bought a Tek wooden comb with very wide teeth (I think it's called an afro comb) a few days ago.
I really love it so far ! It is smooth and doesn't have any nasty edges that rip through strands, and I'm able to detangle my hair as gently but way quicker than with finger-combing only.
Midback ~ Waist ~ Hip ~ Buttcrack ~ Tailbone! ~ Classic ~ Fingertip? ~ Knee??
Now happily maintaining tailbone length. I'm not done growing though... Just waiting for my ends to thicken
My wooden brush has bumps at the base of the bristles. Is this common to wood brushes or is it just on mine?

We have a longish thread called Brushing with clouds about Tek and Widu brushes and combs.
I love my Tek brush, although I am really more of a comb kind of person. I like my Tek combs too, but one small, coloured wide tooth comb of mine must have been a bit faulty as it was rather rough. My other painted WT comb was smooth, and unpainted large wooden comb was even more smooth.

Thanks for the response! I'm sorry I didn't see that thread! I'm new here so I'm still trying to figure out navigation. I will probably get both a comb and a brush. The reason I've been looking at brushes is because I heard that they massage the scalp and I LOVE scalp massages.
