I'm thinking of doing the no trim for the 2nd half of 2017! I'll probably trim right before to get as much of the underneath as I can, and then just see how much length I can get in 6 months! I'll likely go backwards in length at the start, to get as much of the underneath even as I can, but I'm wondering how close to APL I'll be after 6 months.

I've got two sections that are shorter than the rest of my hair, one is 2" shorter, and the other is 3.5" shorter. The bit that's 3.5" shorter is in a spot that isn't really bothersome, and if left shorter would just be like... face framing? It's not the top, but the bits right at my temples? So not super awkward.

I think I could do it!

Sounds like a good plan!! The end of June isn't too far to wait for that good trim I am also in the no trims for the second half of 2017. My last trim was mid-April, I don't think I will trim before the challenge starts...mainly because I feel the itch to cut shorter again so I better stay far away from the scissors

Anyone else notice that shoulder/collarbone length hair is totally in right now?!

Hi! I'll join in here. I have SL/CBL hair right now, and I haven't had it trimmed in a couple of months. I think I'll give it a very light dusting and then leave it alone for the rest of 2017 with the exception of my bangs.

I'm considering cutting my swoop side bangs into short bangs for the summer. I even bought hair scissors today to do it myyself...I am trying not to be hasty and really think about it. Ha!

My goal when I first thought fully decided to grow my hair out was BSL.

    And then it was waist.

    And now it's hip

By the time I hit waist, I'm gonna want classic, aren't I?

Just noticed that when my hair's weighed down by water (and behind my ears) it's basically APL! Hopefully means I only have a month or two left until it's trully there! I've been feeling really great about getting past the worst of the "long-short" phase. It's still not long, but I can do most hairstyles and it doesn't lock like a lob anymore, so It's also fun to notice how much of a difference a centimeter of two makes at this point.

    Woohoo! You're almost there!

I'm actually getting a little reluctant to trim mine now XD On the one hand it'll be nice to finally have the underneath as long as the rest, but on the other hand I can sort of bun what I've got now and won't be able to when it's cut!

But if I don't do it when it's easier for me to even up, I'll have to wait until it's much much longer to even it up (because at APL until about BSL it goes into no man's land and I can't trim it evenly myself )
