I feel so silly - because I'm new. What is APL?

My hair is to the top of my bra line - just had the 2 inches of scraggly ends cut off after wearing tape-in extensions for 6 months. I feel bald! I'm so excited to be here

Are you giving your ends a little extra TLC?

When I do LOC I take special care with the ends for sure.

Maybe try clarifying first before doing anything else.

I clarified my ends on Monday. I clarify my head every other wash because I get this white yellowy buildup after a while and clarifying makes it go away temporarily.

So besides LOC on wash day I don't put any other products in my hair. I put some argan oil (2 drops from a dropper) on the ends and then I went to take a nap, it certainly make them softer. Maybe I should try doing that between washes?

I measured my hair and it's at 20 and a half inches now, Only 2 and a half to go ! I envy everyone whose APL is higher, But I am short waisted so I have that advantage once I pass this annoyingly long milestone hehe. I'm really enjoying not trimming my hair and letting it grow how it naturally wants.

I have a 23" APL so I relate. I'm not short or short waisted, but I have high armpits and high shoulders.

Wow, 25" APL? That's BSL on me! I think that's why it's weird to me though, I'm not tall in any definition (between 5'1-5'2) and the rest of mine are shorter but APL is well into the 23" inch range.

For me APL is like 21", but I'm very short (5'00) so that must be why.

I just measure like most people on here seem to do, hairline to ends.

I think it's funny that most people who are about 5' to 5' 3" have 21-23" APLs when I'm 5' 7" and have a 23" APL. I must be deformed.

I'm between 6'-6'1, APL is 25" and my BSL is like 31"

How do you all measure APL, like at what point is it APL; the top, the middle, the bottom? I personally think it's the top.
