I found this page on hair length that says it takes 20 months http://www.hairfinder.com/info/hair-lengths2.htm (don't know if I just posted that right) but measuring from my chin to armpit is 10 inches, so I assume it's right. I'm starting from CBL myself and am trying to get my hair to middle back. Twiddling my fingers here.

So I'm trying to lay off the flat ironing and I didn't wrap my hair around my head to dry, I guess today I felt like manipulating my hair as little as possible after washing it...

I don't know how to feel about it; no one has ever seen my hair this way except my mother and my husband, I rarely let it dry like that because I generally don't like it but today it's different. I daresay I like it.

That site says you can go from collarbone to bra strap in a year. For me at 5'6", that is 9", not happening!

You have such lovely hair! Their are people who go to salons to get the body and texture you have naturally. Is it the frizz that causes you to straighten? It is barely there, honestly.

    Thank you!

I was conditioned from a young age that "good"/pretty hair = straight hair, it's a hard habit to break. I would never leave it down like that if I'm going outside unless it's straight. Every time I'm told my hair is beautiful it is always when it's straight like in my avatar. I also like the longer look of it.

The frizz/tighter waves are probably in check because I did the LOC method, it is not this tame usually. After waking up this morning the waves were softer and less pronounced but my hair was still fluffy (I sleep with it out, no caps because they never stay on); I wish I took a picture but my husband wasn't around to help me. It looked a lot better this morning. The LOC method is legit!

Overall I feel like there's almost no point in straightening it anymore; the fluff helps with hair stick hairstyles. I don't want to leave it out anymore, too hair stick obsessed!

I'm so indecisive, but it looks different every time I look! I think I might just hang out here for a little bit until it is more clearly at the line.

Just casually sitting on the sofa with my head tilted back because it makes my hair feel longer. 😜

I know more about the straight hair/good hair societal fixation than you want to know, trust. With the LOC method, the result get better and better the more you do it. Just think about how gorgeous your hair will be as it gets longer. Enjoy!

LOL! Another way to know for sure: a pic with wet hair. Unfortunately for me, that method does not work on super-coily hair.
