Just bought my first ficcare. It was so much easier growing last time when it was up most of the time. Maybe a pretty hair clip will help me forget.

I rely on that too! I am actually considering about growing my henna out at the same time with the help and distraction of hair pretties

I dislike my hair so much now, I feel that the lenght looks kind of stupid when I wear it down as it is not long nor short and as much I love red hair and it suits me, roots annoy me after 2 weeks doing them until I do them again.

So I was putting my hair in pigtail braids today and I noticed that, in front at least, my hair comes to the very start of my armpit crease! I'm not going to call it until it hits APL the "proper" way (the t-shirt/towel/fabric test in back), but it just made me so happy that I'm so close to my goal for the year!

I just started back on my henna after a brief dip into chemical dye (burn scalp burn). It's funny how everyone is so different :-)

I can't stand commercial hairdyes either, never gotten actual burn, but it just doesn't feel good. It makes my scalp itch.

I haven't decited yet should I grow my natural color as henna is beautiful. I am leaning into making weaker henna mix, probably with 50% cassia at first. My hair just absorbs color too well and it doesn't fade.

Returning to the board after a somewhat lengthy absence and a cut as well, now regrowing and eventually aiming for virgin hair of at least waist length (though knowing me, the more I have the more I'll want, and I'll probably end up back at TBL in the end!).

It's clear from my most recent length pic that I belong here and will for some time to come, though I am a non-trimmer by nature and my hair tends to grow pretty fast.

The last of my faded black dye is fairly visible here but that doesn't really bother me. It bothers me much less than the irritating layers which I was thankful to be able to cut out in January this year! I will cut the old dye out eventually but I'm not planning on any trims at all until I can at least bun it again.

Becky - I love the way the faded dye adds a subtle ombre to your hair. People try really hard to replicate that in salons!

    Well thank you very much!

Funny thing, but I'm so clueless when it comes to conventional styling that I didn't even know what ombre was until people started saying this to me recently.

It's good that it looks like it might be on purpose anyway

Heya! Right now my hair is just touching my shoulders... I feel like my journey to apl is gonna take forevvveerrrrrrr and I need some motivation/reassurance... I'm naturally impatient and am trying my best to enjoy the ride but y'know... It's a slow one.
