HI Horrorpops, I have fairly thick hair so I'd probably be OK on that point but really can't see myself committing enough time to it. I keep meaning to ask what fairly tail ends are. Can you please explain? Thanks

Vpatt, I feel ya. I'm 6ft and though I'm several inches past bsl, I still have so far to go to get to waist. I think I'll try to forget about it till at least fall. Should be easy since I wear it up more in the summer.
I will have mine up more in the summer, too. Maybe we will both be surprised by the end of summer.

Fairy tail ends are those finer wispier ends that happen to some people at a certain length....maybe closer to terminal? From what I see here some people love them and some not so much. I believe there is a thread with pictures if you are interested.

    Your hair is lovely!

Sounds like a good plan 😆
Ahhhh, I've just started noticing hemlines more. I guess since I was growing out a bad cut, mine's stayed straight. I like the looks of the u but since I'm usually braided that prolly wouldn't go well for me. Funny how much hair stuff never even occurred to me before lhc!

Once it gets there your hair will be so much longer than us shorties. It will actually look long.

It does seem to be taking forever to get to waist and I have only gained 3 inches in 14 months but I have trimmed at least 4 inches in that time. So whilst length only creeps down slowly the pre LHC damage is also reducing. I'm about to start 2 weeks off work so I'm going to do a week of inversion therapy and see if I can boost my usual ½ inch growth to the ¾ to 1 inch I get in a month when I do this religiously for one week.
Man I have a short torso. Waist for me from the top of my head where the hair starts growing not my front bang line is 24 incjes for waist and 27 for hip. I'm just past 21 now. If I measure from front of hair line it's an extra 5.5 inches for each measurement.

I've been doing weekly Castro oil treatments and it is a light growth difference. An extra 1/4 inch each month. I can't do inversion due to vertigo.

Don't mind me as I drool at your hair below. It's pretty much my dream hair. Mine is straight and well straight.

Aww, thanks! My hair was pretty straight when it was shorter. I'm really surprised at how wavy it's gotten. But I am loving it . Just last night, though, I was wishing for straight hair with less tangles and frizz.

Haha thank you ButterflyButton!! So close but so far

Persiangirl - thank you so much! I know I certainly hope so! I'm actually in the southern hemisphere too - I've been worried my growth rate will slow down as winter approaches but that's awesome to have months of super growth!!

Thank you Gthlvrmx!! I know, I need to stop watching and waiting it just makes everything take longer!

HoD - yeah it is a little time consuming I only do it every month or so maybe, not for the last few though. I thibk Vpatt explained fairytale ends well! basically it happens either because of terminal ends or S+D split ends so the hairs hemline loses its thickness and uniformity.
Virgin colour grown out ✅ Waist reached ✅
    Now heading towards hip!

I'm pretty straight and still get tangles. Those annoying tiny ones or worse my hair ends up in a big knot of I don't run my fingers through it often. I envy those with smooth hair that always looks perfect but would love waves.

I guess no one's immune from tangles eh.
