I am much more aware of every day friction too, and over the years some of it has become a sort of habit too, even when I had pixie some years ago. It is after all a big part of how hair gets wear and tear (chairbacks, bag straps, agressive brushing, shampooing method (etc.). The longer the goal length is, the more important avoiding damage becomes, unless person has teflon hair

If you've gotten to waist before, I bet you get to hip now! And lets hope your growth spurts will continue

    Fingers crossed!

I'm not worried about chair backs, bag straps etc as have always been careful. However, i had been incredibly negligent about using elastics in my hair, and brushing. I used to lose loads of hair each time i put it up in a band (which was daily while cleaning teeth etc) and also had a brushful of shed hair every day. Brushes are out now, as far as I'm concerned. Also find shampoo bars and vinegar rinse seem to suit my hair. I hardly get any shed hairs at all at the moment.

Thank you for the encouragement and kind words

I think I'm either at "can I call this APL" or Im right at APL! I have a U shape going on already which I like but the front had completely different waves going on today and made it look way shorter on one side haha.

My hair appears to be hovering around collarbone length, so I guess I belong in this thread! My least favorite part of growing is over - making it to shoulder length. Now it at least is beginning to feel longer, so I can keep up the growing without getting too frustrated with it.

Lyv, looks like APL! Congratulations! *kicking you out from this thread and to the next one*

Since you have U, it wouldn't make sense to wait till more hair reaches, unless you want to yourself. Your hemline looks just like wavy hemline does, not short on other side. Lovely shine and colour!!!

You probably have the fastest growing hair I've seen too, have you measure your monthly growth? It must be phenomenal!

Messyhair welcome aboard, we just has a free cabinet since Lyv jumped to the other ship

I'm beginning my long hair journey anew from shoulder length. So, I guess I'll be here for awhile~!
