    @Arctic

It's henna'd underneath, but I used Manic Panic Vampire Red over an orange henna'd head.

Kome - Best of the both worlds, then! Henna for strength and Manic panic for awesomeness

I think it's time to join here! I cut to a pixie (see siggy) in January 2014 and have been growing it out since. I've cut 4 times, mostly from the back to get rid of the mullet and I'm at/past collarbone now! I don't have one from the back but here's the front!

I've been growing out my henna and luckily it blends pretty well with my natural color straight on, if you look from the top its another story though haha!

eta: I can't get it to go any smaller for some reason sorry!

Thanks Arctic! It does seem like it's growing pretty quickly lately, hopefully it keeps it up at least until I'm back at BSL

    The Braid Edition
    The Bun and Updo Edition
    The Half-Up Edition
    The Other Styles Edition

I add photos as I have time to make different styles, photograph, edit and post them. My speed has slowed down a bit, but I still plan to add more photos. I have several waiting already, but due to being able to only post 10 (or was it 15?) images per blog post, I need to combine my photos into collages, and to do that I'd like to have at least 4 different styles in one subgroup, so some of the collages are under work or pending.

I haven't really written down or linked to tutorials in styles that are well known or seem to me like self-explanatory (e.g. half-up with a braid), but that might be something to consider in the future. I do plan to make some sort of photo / text tutorials of some styles that I have invented or modified or that are not maybe well-known.

But yeah, there are already lot of styles, but it's very much "in progress" for who knows how long Maybe forever if I keep editing the content

When I get more photos and the article section starts working, I might make an article of these.

Thank you for this post. I prefer all one length hair except for very long swooshy bangs the melt into the hair. I feel like I need to get more creative and be ok with wearing my hair up. I need some hair tools for escape artist hair.

Let's hope so! BTW I have always like your bob-length hair photos too, it's always encouraging to see others grow (back or for the first time) long.

I am so pleased you found those photos helpful! Gives me motivation to keep working on the project when I receive positive feedback I love the expression "melt into the hair"

My absolutely most trustworthy method for hairstyles at this length are bobby pins. Mini claw clips work super well too. You don't need anything expensive or hard to find tools if you don't want to put money into that kind of things. That being said a hair tool that is suitable for the job you want it to do and is relatively good quality, does make your life easier.

I for one am interested to hear about your experiences with the shampoo. I am testing the caffeine rinses myself, not sure yet if they work.
Arctic, I'll have a look into what mini goals I can set up for myself - brilliant idea!

I will definitely post about my experiences with the caffeine shampoo. I've only used it since last week Saturday, I might not have enough input on this just yet. What I can say so far is how manageable my hair is from it. I've heard that some people find these shampoos to be drying, but my hair seems to love it: it's smooth and soft and even the general colour seems a little "brightened" from it. Then again, I've been really religious about conditioning the ends twice during a wash. The only real down side of the shampoo is how quickly my hair gets oily since I've started using it!
