I think it's time to join here! I cut to a pixie (see siggy) in January 2014 and have been growing it out since. I've cut 4 times, mostly from the back to get rid of the mullet and I'm at/past collarbone now! I don't have one from the back but here's the front!

I've been growing out my henna and luckily it blends pretty well with my natural color straight on, if you look from the top its another story though haha!
eta: I can't get it to go any smaller for some reason sorry!

Thanks Arctic! It does seem like it's growing pretty quickly lately, hopefully it keeps it up at least until I'm back at BSL![]()

Lyv, you have great hair and you're generally lovely! Welcome to the thread!![]()
Not quite APL -> APL -> BSL -> Mid-Back with compact-cut layers and holding a while-> ???
Started growing 10/2014 {SL* APL * BSL * MBL * WL * Hip * TB *Classic}
Let's hope so! BTW I have always like your bob-length hair photos too, it's always encouraging to see others grow (back or for the first time) long.
I am so pleased you found those photos helpful! Gives me motivation to keep working on the project when I receive positive feedbackI love the expression "melt into the hair"
My absolutely most trustworthy method for hairstyles at this length are bobby pins. Mini claw clips work super well too. You don't need anything expensive or hard to find tools if you don't want to put money into that kind of things. That being said a hair tool that is suitable for the job you want it to do and is relatively good quality, does make your life easier.

Thank you so much Estrid!
Arctic, I'll have a look into what mini goals I can set up for myself - brilliant idea!
I will definitely post about my experiences with the caffeine shampoo. I've only used it since last week Saturday, I might not have enough input on this just yet. What I can say so far is how manageable my hair is from it. I've heard that some people find these shampoos to be drying, but my hair seems to love it: it's smooth and soft and even the general colour seems a little "brightened" from it.Then again, I've been really religious about conditioning the ends twice during a wash. The only real down side of the shampoo is how quickly my hair gets oily since I've started using it!
