Thank you in the shower when my hair is wet its definitly at solid waist. So excited! Th is is the longest my hair has been my entire life!

I was very excited I'm so close. But today I am very discouraged. I've had 3 different people in the past 24hours tell me they don't like my hair, the hair color, or the length and that I need a trim. One of my good friends messaged me after a picture was posted on facebook and said I hate your hair, put it back. We have a real bluntly honest relationship, but that was crossing the line for me.

So I asked my best friend, and she said no you look really nice just ignore her, that was mean. Then she said maybe you need a trim....
Do my ends look bad, like I need a trim? I have been dong microtrims all along, because it's imprtant to me for my hair to look tidy as I grow. I simply responded well I don't want to trim, I'm growing my hair out, and they let it go. But I still feel down about it. I'm not fishing for compliments, maybe just suggestions of they do look bad. I'd hate to trim this close to my Christmas goal of waist!
    Thanks ladies

You've got a beautiful mane, as well as lovely fairytale ends, which in the "real world" (to people who don't know what they are, or appreciate their beauty) translates as "you need a trim".
Are you happy with your hair? That's the only thing that matters. We can't always please everyone, and we're not here to please anybody but ourselves with the way we look.
As a long hair you'll have to deal with lots of people saying not-so-nice comments of your hair, as much as receiving lots of nice compliments. At the end, your personal opinion is the only thing that matters

May I join? I don't have any pictures of my hair just yet, but visually it looks about BSL when straightened. My hair has been through a lot and is color damaged, but I just trimmed my ends, and it's still at BSL I want to be at waist sooo badly.

Brattina88, miss fiðrildi has a very good point--how do you feel about your ends?

As long as you are happy with your hair and the ends don't have much splits, there's no need of cutting.

Hey! Welcome to the family! BSL on me was about 26 too - I think it was officially 25.5 or maybe just 25. :/ Can't remember. Annnnnyways, we're glad to have you, and if you need any help with your color damaged hair just let us know :P
I want to be at waist too. #wishingforwaist

Sweet! You gonna hang around here for longer, or are you moving onwards to the Waist to Tailbone thread?

I took a couple of pictures the other day (one below and one in my siggy) and realized I'm officially at waist. Barely! The last 6 inches are so scraggly (from bleach heat and color) that it hardly FEELS like waist. I decided in January of this year that when I reached waist (my first mini goal) I would stay there for a year to get rid of the damaged ends. Uuggghh I don't like waiting! Oh well I'm going to be happy about my mini goal
    Starting over, again.

I'll be sticking around here. I like to call new lengths once I've reached them when wavy. But it's very exciting knowing that I'm basically there.

ETA: Congrats on reaching waist Micayla47. And I don't think it looks as bad as you think it does.
