Does anyone growing have a hair plan? Here is mine to get from CBL to APL. Will revise one for waist once I am finally at APL.
I am going to share my list so that way if anyone has ideas they can advise. If you have a list of your own I would love to see it. I figured I better list it out so I can actually communicate better my intentions so I am not derailed. Its tricky growing under a stylist if you cannot communicate your wishes. It is a challenge as I am a daily washer, I color and i blow dry. This is how the "other half" lives

    1. Get new cut as I hate my current cut. It has layers that angle to my face instead of away from. I found this cut required blowdrying and I want something that is more manageable. I have to get one last cut to get the shape I want. From there I will switch to microtrims. Appt is Tuesday.
    2. Switch to all over color and skip highlights. 1/2 8N mixed with 1/2 8G. I will do bangs level 9. Will do roots only color from here out. That has been my plan for a while but I notice the highlights are getting all over and it gets too complicated to ensure hair isn't being processed more than once. Will continue to use coconut oil before color.
    3. Go from 6/7 washes a week to 4/5
    4. Air dry 2 of those washes.
    5. Eat a balanced diet
    6. Invest in better brushes and combs
    7. Use less products. Time to use up my stash and not make new purchases.
    8. wear hair up 6 days a week (will have it styled for down 2 days a week but it will go up after a few hours)
    9. don't touch it so much
    10. get sleep cap without elastic and try it
    11. satin or silk pillowcases only
Cut hair 11.06.2013 to CBL. Patiently waiting for it to grow back strong and healthy.

My plan as pretty much always been

    1)Lots of water
    2)take vitamins
    3) I work out daily
4)oil scalp with Monistat/canestan mixed with wild growth light oil moisturiser 5 days a week until I reach APL (or a little longer will not use for longer for 4 months at a time)
5)CO wash on workout days (CO wash conditioner has had peppermint EO added for extra scalp stimulation)
6)Trim out layers by trimming every time I reach 1.5" past a milestone (I can maintain the milestone and get a thicker hemline)
    7) only shampoo when I need it (shampooing will be clarifying and chelating).... ALWAYS followed by a deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep conditioner
As always keep hair UP during the day

I'm hoping to reach APL by the end of APRIL which means I need 1" a month so I hope with this regimen I can get there. So I can be APL by my birthday and trim so I can get rid of another layer as I only flat iron my hair for trims.

My plan is to keep doing what I've been doing since chin length:

Wash 2-3 times per week, preferably 2. I co-wash, no cones, scalp massage and TT with conditioner while I'm in there, and then turbie twist it until damp. Then I scrunch in a mix of AVG and coconut oil as a leave-in.
Air-dry, no touching. If I must blow-dry, do it on cool. I got a new hairdryer with a cold shot for this.
Detangle before bed with BBB, add coconut oil to ends.
Finger-combing only in the morning. Wear hair up, trying to avoid elastics. I can peacock twist easily at my current length with a claw or stick-clip, but I want to get better at French/Dutch/lace braiding.
Drink plenty of water and take vitamins every day.

Nothing too complicated I like this routine because I don't have to think about it. It feels like benign neglect to me, which is good because I'm lazy
    Hie thee to a forkery!
    Currently at waist.

    Good idea, ErinLeigh.

I'm basically already at APL, but only my lowest layers that're pretty thin. I still don't know if I'm 'really' APL yet, so I'll just stick around for a bit.

1.) Healthier diet, that I already started two days ago. This is probably the most important thing, as I usually live on candy, potato chips and Coke.
2.) Much more water! I drink way too little normally (two glasses of water a day, at most, now I'll go for four).
3.) Wash my hair every 2-3 days (can't go longer as my scalp itches so much) and oil it whilst damp afterwards.
4.) Try to keep it up as often as possible.
5.) Sleep on silk pillowcase or in my silk sleep cap.
6.) Not use combs or brushes that may snag at my hair... Finger detangling and boar bristle brushing before sleeping.

    Your plans look good!
    Mine is something like this:

    - Continue with CO/CWC-washing when I need to, normally every five days. I use SLS-free shampoo and cone free conditioner. Clarify if I need to.
    - Selftrim when I need to! When ends get too hard to detangle it's time. Hopefully I can wait until early May as I plan to do it 3 times a year. I trim 1-2 cm. I S&D any splits I find in the front.
    - Keep hair up or braided if it's not a special occation to avoid snagging and friction.
    - Don't even think about dyeing! I'm ten months dye free now!
    - I got a wooden comb today so bye bye static plastic comb
    - Find good substitutes for ponytails for gymnastics.
    - Make more satin scrunchies.
    - Just ordered protein powder so I'll be able to boost my diet a bit for stressful days. I'm a lazy half-vegetarian who suddenly got superbusy with active work, active dog and sports.

And all the usual stuff, you know. I never use heat and try to detangle gently. In the future I might go to a hairdresser to even it up, my own cutting skills are not perfect, haha.

That's a good idea. I might whip up a few myself.

Everyone's plans sound great by the way! Happy growing all.

Alright, I finally got pictures to upload! Pulled straight comes to just below the lowest part of my collarbone. I'm hoping to make it to APL by my birthday in June.

After a good 2 month stall and being stuck at 19" .. I have grown an inch in the past 2 weeks. ... which puts me at 1.5" to solid APL in the front ... DH measured 3" until APL in the back but I think that's past APL halfway to BSL... I hope I can make another 1.5-2" within the next month and a half .. I really want APL for my Bday

Did the towel test today, just to see how far I have to go to APL, was pleasantly surprised that it's not as far as I thought. I should make it stretched by sometime in March and unstretched/wavy by the time spring gets here.

I needed to share a picture. This was taken today after it dried from washing it. The lighting isn't great. But that's just how my bathroom is. I washed my mirror first for you guys though!!!

I'm at shoulder length and so glad to finally be there. Fortunately my hair tends to grow fast. Especially because I'm a pregnant.
