Hi all, I haven't taken a back of the head pic for a little while! And think i'm finally touching APL. Went and cut front layers a few months ago... But aiming for more length before I begin trimming again. I want to even up the ends.
A pic from the beginning of this year and 2nd pic was taken yesterday

    Omg, Sunny_side_up, CONGRATULATIONS!!! <3

WOW I am so sick of being this stupid length -_-
Yesterday I was having problems getting my hair up and I feel like I killed it via manipulation and I did wind up finding splits and I had my mom microtrim again...
I have no idea if the damage I found was cumulative or truly from trying to get it to stay in the freaking cinnabun.
I keep feeling like my hair will never grow and I should just chop it to chin to get rid of the rest of the bleach TT^TT
But of course, I'm not going to do that because that'd be stupid. I'm always going to want long hair so I better keep going.
I'm also irritated that my hair will get damaged if I wear it down because the whole point of me having long hair was for it to look good down...
I need like nothing but satin blouses/dresses and satin lined hoodies because I do NOT want my hair rubbing against cotton [or any other fabric] EVER.
Uhg it just feels like it's all for nothing at this point.

I'm sorry that I post so much in here, there's just not really anywhere else that I can.
    Just trying to get by

Thank you emilylightning! Your fringe is so cute and your hair is growing out healthily! Before you know it, it will be longer, patience and more patience. To be honest I have not been paying my hair too much attention. Few years ago I had a lot of layers and lost lots of length over time from too many small trims. Try not to get bogged down on every lil thing about your hair and as the months pass you'll see results! Happy growing!

    @ emilylightning

I'm very sorry your frustrated with your hair.

I too find having this hair length is very awkward due to the lack of hairstyles we can do.

I used to get really upset when I tried to do bun styles and they didn't work.

One hairstyle that was saved me from insanity, is the cheaters bun or split bun

It's quick, easy and protects the ends. The best thing anyone with shoulder length + hair can do it

    Instructions
    http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/...ad.php?t=25145

I modify mine a little. I use a silk scrunchie in my hair color for it to blend. Plus it protects my ends from splits and from pulling to much. I always place a big scrunchie at the back of the bun and hair stick. I find it holds better and makes the bun look bigger.

This is my everyday hairstyle, it protects. I can also use all my hairsticks

    I hope this helps

Thank you janeytilllie! Your hair has great shine and is a lovely colour. I wanted lighter brown hair and went for a permanent box dye in the summer. Wont be doing that again. Feeling my hair is a little dryer because of this and it did unsettle my scalp. Back on coconut oil massages and plan to braid more after I wash it & use mineral oil to help with locking in moisture

    Welcome, new ones!
I've been on a little vacation, but am back now. Hotel water is VERY uncooperative with hair. --Just saying it out loud.--

I haven't forgotten the pincurls, and will get after them the next time I wash. I'm not a good photographer, but will do the best I can.

    henna keeps it
red, and red makes me happy.
Pixied for 15+ years and liked it.
    Growing for fun.

    Hey there all!
Im newly signed up but have been a lurker here for a while. Quick back story to my hair, apologies if pic heavy.
My hair used to be gorgeously long about 2 years ago

Then for some stupid reason i got it all cut off

    Then went blonde

    Then red

    Back to a dark brown

then butchered my hair by trying to strip the dark out and go light brown then ombre the ends and ended up a mess and having to chop more hair off! This is it now scrunched dried

    and straight

all the while i was messing around with my hair ( the blonde started in jan this year!) i have been trying to grow my hair but because of all the crap i have done to it this year it has not grown at all (well it has but its snapping off quicker than it grows). The ombre ends are there as the ends won't take colour anymore! Although i have been using protein treatments and I'm hoping to henna it soon and maybe this will fix this as well. My hair generally grows super fast especially when I'm not trying. This year i have been trying and its just not worked. From now on i am seriously trying to look after my hair and get it to APL by xmas if not jan.
I use FAST shampoo by nisim and do love this stuff! I take skin hair and nails from holland and barrett as its to biotin in it. I have also just started the daktarin stuff and will see how that goes. Fingers crossed
    Bex
ps i hope these pics come out i can't figure out how to attach as it won't let me
