Hmm, I'm not sure how wigs are measured, but maybe they measure each individual strand and so the ones at the nape fall lower on the body?

I'm near the end of my 2-year college program, and yesterday the girl who started with me commented about how long my hair is looking these days. I was so happy to hear that! lol It was up around earlobe/chin length when we started so it certainly has grown an awful lot since then.

I can completely relate to this statement. My unpredictable wave patterns mean that some days I'm there and some days I'm not even close. I'm reluctant to call it done just yet because of that, even though I'm so eager to get on with it. lol

I'm thinking of growing out my bangs while I grow to APL as a distraction cause the changes are a lot more noticable

And then when I reach my goal, I can hack them off again

we can be twinsies! I look so ugly and awkward right now! shoulder-APL isn't a good look on my and my half grown-out bangs make me look like an '80's person.

I will be a beautiful butterfly in 4 months though, I promise

It feels APL but I know its not. Anyone else get that? it looks longer, but measuring up.. it just isnt. I'll join you guys in waiting till halloween, I need to get my mind off it and just let it grow at its own pace.

Today I snooped the forums for updos, thought I MIGHT have enough hair for a lazy wrap bun, and it HELD. Pencils go with everything, don't they? hahahaha! Like I even care! It HELD!

I have had to do two trims during a month. I got some damage year ago from wearing a helmet every day at work for 3 months and now that damage is on my ends. I still don't have splits but the ends stick together and feel raggedy. I clarify regularly so I know it's not build-up. It's old mechanical damage. It will be sooo long until I reach APL now! Luckily oiling helps a bit. Yesterday I used so much oil on my ends after washing that I thought it will be really oily but the ends have sucked it up and now they feel really good. Maybe I just need to use more oil. I wish I won't have to trim it for at least two months.

I also cut a side swept bangs today. I wanted some hair around my face when I wear it up and soften my look a bit. I am quite sure I won't regret this although I kind of did it on a whim. I have also been happy about dyeing my hair brown. I can see growth! I have some roots so my hair must be growing anyway.
