From the back. The natural light helps a bit, but then I can't hold my iPhone this far away, so it's a grainy laptop picture. I think I need to bribe a friend to help. XD

And a shot that caught the overall curl pattern well:

The best part? My hair is like half an inch from waist! Grrrrr. But everything with a grain of salt. Last time my hair was this length, my hair did NOT look this healthy unless I had a ton of silicone based product in it. Now it looks like this even after having slept on it all night!

I love your curl pattern. It so cool- your curls is very define and you have this cute spirals at the end of it. It look like a doll curls. I also have this problem about not showing the pattern, but for me it in updoes (because my hair don't have pattern at all. Maybe some really stretched S waves ). My virgin hair is pretty dark and it hard to see the braid pattern without a flash.

CurlyCap, your curls are gorgeous. You make me wish that mine were tighter - yours will keep their spring even when ultra long, mine is only curly on the ends now! I'm jealous!

Beautiful curls, CurlyCap! They look so healthy and well-defined. They are going to be even more eye-catching as they get longer! Kittybird - that thickness is to die for! Those sock curls give you some serious Disney-hair-in-real-life.

Thank you everyone for your kind comments! It's been a great journey from a practically shaved head to where I am now over the last 3 years. I'm really happy to hear that others think the hair is growing well...and not just that my ego has inflated enormously (

KittyBird - the shrinkage sound like an advantage to me in this days. It will be fun to have shorter (and curlier!) hair for one day. How many section did you do? how many time did you hold then? Did you put them on damp hair or dry?

I used six sections and kept them in overnight. I dampened the hair with a mister bottle and put some leave-in conditioner on before I rolled them up, but it would work fine without the leave-in. I just used it because my hair is dry and loves to tangle. I used pieces of pantyhose as rollers instead of socks, mainly because I don't have that many socks (I buy lots and lots, but they all disappear!).
