I completely to forgot to update after my microtrim... I only took a tiny bit off but when I got my husband to do the final bit of the trim he said my hair was getting quite v-shaped, I prefer a gentle u so I got him to take off a little bit more than usual and I'm now back at 21.5". It really was only a small part of my hair that was at 22" though so it doesn't feel any shorter. He took a picture but I forgot to get it off the camera and he's away now (with the camera) so I'll upload when it when he's back. The really great news is that he measured carefully and is adamant that I'm only an inch away from APL! It looked a lot more than that to me on the picture but he swears it's accurate. How exciting!

So I now have a new strategy, monthly microtrims are getting frustrating so I'm just letting it grow now until I get to APL then I plan to maintain for a short while to thicken up the ends after the ill-fated layers I cut into my hair nearly two months ago

All being well I'll be at APL in two months then in three months I'll start to trim again, I don't think I'll go back to monthly trims though, it's hard to be accurate when cutting off just a tiny bit, I'm thinking I'll take off half an inch every two months for a while so I'll still be growing slowly.

I may even go and take a look at the APL to BSL thread, once I'm past APL I will really feel like a long hair, I've never been that long before

Arrrg I want another milestone between shoulder and APL. Yes there is collarbone but generally that's not terribly long past shoulder. I still think wet I have one inch to APL which should mean I am going to be really heartbreakingly close for my birthday this year. Although the naughty side says that I have been past APL for a while now in front. I am feeling petulant this morning can you tell?

SerinaDaith, I have seen people say here that their hair is UBL (upper back length). Is that before APL or after it? I am not sure.

I don't know. Perhaps this is worthy of some research... I can't be the only one getting grumpy about how long a stretch is between shoulder to APL though. Am I? Cause APL to BSL to MBL to waist to hip seems like fairly short gaps at least on my short self. Maybe I need to be less goal hungry.

No, you arent the only one. I'm with you on this. It frustrates me how long it's taking. Chin to shoulder was long but manageable, once it hit shoulder it was at collarbone at no time, but now I need about 12 months to reach APL with the rate I'm going
