Even as a TLHC member I have a hard time discerning how long someone's hair would be loose when I see updo's in real life. Almost always it is about BSL at longest, they tend to tease and fluff it out to make these large looking buns on not so long hair.
But I am not willing to tease my hair and even if I have some vivacious braid waves going on, my buns are still unimpressive for the length of my hair. People are always amazed at the length if they ever find out. Consequently, I could probably cut back to waist and few people would ever know if I always wore my hair up.

I braided my hair with a scarf...which doesn't show much...and just did a cinnabun which is more like a beebutt bun I guess since it's all poofy. Was happy to use this pretty stick I got in a grab-bag of hair stuff at Goodwill for $2!! Hidden treasure!
Wow, AspenSong, that looks really pretty! You did a great job.
Hidden treasure indeed, AspenSong! It looks lovely against your hair, too!
Can I call this hip?
Next stop: BCL!
My Bun can't compare with any of the lovely ones above, but I'm very excited because it is my first real hairstick bun. No pins or elastics, just a stick holding my hair securely.
Reached BSL November 2013!
Goal: tailbone
been couple of times since I started to do the Nautilus bun, I'm thinking I'm getting better at it!
And I'll never miss a chance to post a pic of my hair
I really need to wash it though
AspenSong, love it! Really pretty hairstick, too.
cooklaezo, your first ever proper hairstick bun is always a victory.
yoni, that looks a HUGE nautilus! Envious over here.
Contribution to the 'hairstyle of the month', today's flipped cinnabun held with spin pins:
I like how it shows the natural colour variations in my hair.
