    Default Face Framing Whisps

    Hello All!

I have been thinking about face framing layers but i just recently found a set of pictures of what i was thinking of...i am not looking for a full set of face framing layers but more for soft romantic whisps...any ideas on how to get these or how to ask for them once i get a hair trim?

    Thanks a lot

I loooove wispies I have them even after growing out bangs, so I'm pretty sure I just have strange temple hairs that don't grow very long, but I'm a huge fan of soft loose 'dos.

I think your best bet may be to ask for pretty long, very thin side bangs. I know that's not really what you're looking for, but I have a feeling asking a stylist to just cut some random hairs at the sides of your face may not work so well. A long side bang would allow you to pull them loose and leave some wisps, but also be able to tuck them behind your ear or pin them back pretty easily

I have those. They're nice; I have a round-ish face and they soften the look of a bun. Just keep in mind that they'll require regular trims, and if you decide to grow them out, you'll have awkward bits past the jaw that might not cooperate if you put your hair up a lot. I'm due for a trim soon, and I have to pin those bits of hair up so they don't look weird and heavy.

Take the photo to show the look. Be clear that you don't want the layers, just a few errant strands. I just got thin side swept bangs to serve that purpose. I had them cut a little short, so they'll be growing for a few months to get back to where they need to be.

It might happen naturally. I get wisps like that because of all the newer, shorter hairs that I have.

Oh, I've had them for years, they're so cute and really help with my terrible bony face! In Japan it's quite common, here are some reference pictures... hopefully they'll be useful for when you go to the hairdresser

(I really like the last one's because they're so subtle and blend really well )

I love those pictures!!! Just print them off and show the picture to your hairdresser! I find this works best so they know exactly what you want!
