Do any of the other curlies or wurlies here have difficulty with braiding their own hair? I seem to be all thumbs when it comes to doing something to the back of my own head...

My hair is stick straight and I'm all thumbs too. It's not your hair.

I'm a wavy, and yes! The problem I have is French braiding! ughhhh I have to put a lot of work because my waves sometimes sticks all over the place. It is already hard to section hair, but even harder to trap stubborn waves into place. However, if I was to do little separate braids like Coolio the rapper hair style, then I have no problems.

hmm I wonder if it would be easier to French braid hair wet or damp hair? The only problem is wet hair is at its fragile state so you risk more breakage.. oh gosh it will be hard to find a solution.

I think it would be best to try to French braid dampish hair, but be gentle with it. You'd definitely have an easier time braiding, and if you were gentle you shouldn't have to worry too much about breakage.

maybe i'll try that mixed in with some essential oil because my hair gets tangly when wet or damp. I'll probably do this for a special day or something. Amazing what two heads can come up with!hehehe

Your hair is so gorgeous, it would look amazing in French braids. When you do this, I want pictures!
