I just want to say that the pics in this thread are just as lovely as the longer haired threads! Lissandria - it's great to see a curly getting to APL. And your hair color is to die for; I've always loved that color but I can't pull it off myself. neverever - that bun looks perfect!

although that is APL with my curls combed out- its much curlier naturally- not sure if im there with them not brushed out, to be fair though, my curls usually are combed out with my tangle teezer cos most days I wear my hair up.

DaniVerde- you don't have far to go at all! Lovely!
Neverever- that bun looks gorgeous! Good thing you took a picture that may help when you want to recreate it!

I also have a great idea for showing off your French/Dutch plaiting/braiding skills in short hair without the annoying ducktail (aka how to look a bit like Madora with a fraction of the hair),
First do your hair and tie off with a small hair tie:

Then get a hair scarf and "hammock" (hold either side of the scarf and scoop up) the ducktail and tie off:

or put on a wide head band and just tuck your tail in.

Thanks for your "go to" styles. I think i'll get some barrettes! The reason I asked is because so many styles offered here are mostly for BSL and Beyond lengths. So I thought I'd get some ideas in this thread that is specifically for shoulder length growing into APL. But I suppose I can tweak the styles offered for the longer hair to work for my hair.

Rowie, we decided on Treatment Tuesdays for Tuesdays and Towel Test Thursdays for the first Thursday of the month

Or at least I'm pretty sure we did
