Ok Rowie, you've officially hustled me. I'm sitting here with coconut oil in my hair as a pre shampoo treatment despite the threat of acne. The last time I tried coconut oil-- which was a while ago TBH-- I got bad break outs but I was using it as a leave in on dry hair. Very interested in seeing what the results are.

Oh I just love argan oil! I used some last night and my hair is still so soft and shiny. I ended up adding some neem oil to my order at the last second. It stinks to high heaven but it's great for skin, hair, everything.

I agree with Battles, that is what I would call "can I call this APL?". Another half inch or so and you will be solidly there.

Grrr...my hair is getting curlier as it grows! Now, I love the fact that it's getting curlier, but it also means more shrinkage! Dry and wurly, it's about an inch and a half away from solid APL. *sigh* oh, to have my long hair back...

Surely at some point you turn a corner and the weight overcomes the curliness? Only my guess, I lose shrinkage as soon as my hair weighs enough to counter-act it's tendancy to grow straight out.

I can't use neem because I am too sensitive to the smell but I can't wait to try argan oil. Would you say it's comparable to any other oil or is it really in a class by itself?

I've been at can-I-call-this-APL for over a month now, but thank you all for being honest! Just a few more weeks. I can do this.

I haven't really used any other oils other than argan and olive. The effects are waaaaay better than olive, but that's really all I can say.
