Currently I try to enjoy my nice texture and structure I get with my care routine. Further I found my old lost flexi8s. So I have some new toys.

I got motivated from pictures, where i could see that my hair is growing.
    Let's grow together!
I would be so frustrated if my hair was shoulder length, but really BSL. I was being a bit dramatic in a moment of intense frustration. Thank for being supportive and understanding. We are definitely in this together

I also don't like the towel test. It does this to me too, except it adds like another two inches +. I find that my Armpits are higher or lower depending on my posture on a particular day so I just lift my arm 90 degrees and eyeball it. Good enough IMO

I've heard about this oil, I just bought some Love that it's organic, thanks for sharing the link. I hope it stops my shedding!

Congratulations! I did my first 1/2 cinnabun last night, held in with my new fork (the tines were "holding down" some of the ends). I'm super jealous of you getting a full one, but so happy for you! The more you practice, the longer it will hold. You can do it! Have you tried a french twist and been able to tuck in all the ends?

I tried it yesterday, and while it is okay, it wasn't great. I found tying a piece of string all the way around my body under my armpits was much easier and held in place long enough for me to gauge where things were at. Or, I could just be lazy and have my fiance do it for me. It would probably be more accurate that way.

I can do cinnabuns (or something similar and messier) with hair sticks - and they stay in! Yay! I've never been able to make this work before. I'm so excited I'ved just ordered a three prong hair fork for a bit more hold. Isn't it great when you can put your hair up and it actually stays!
I'm not measuring my hair at all. My strategy is wear it up 80% of the time, and don't look. I'm also using essential oil of rosemary and neem oil for deep conditioning twice a week. And sleeping wearing an old knitted (loose) beany. It's great to read everyone's posts and see the progress. What a great feeling

I've finally got to the stage where twin english braids (my favourite style, even pre-chop) will stay in all day- although the ends do pop out when I sleep with them...

I really want some hairsticks, but I can't seen to find anywhere in the UK that sells them. I may have to break down and pay the shipping charges on etsy, i think.
