I hope it is not true what some people say that this stage seems to take forever. I guess maybe we are paying too much attention to our hairs? I'm tall so I know I have much more growing to do. I'm just happy that I can finally tie my hair in different ways. I just wish my bangs would catch up so that I can finally do a full back braid, but I guess I might just have to wait until I've reached beyond APL to do that.

I have about four more inches to go when dry. I can't wait to finally get back to APL! It seems like it's taken forever!

I'm tempted to call APL when I'm there when my curls are brushed out but still dry- my hair will at least be 24"- Which is BSL or so on a lot of people. I'm glad I'm not alone on this, its frustrating cos I feel like I'm not making any progress ( which is not true, but it's still very discouraging). You are definitely not alone in this, though!

I just did my very first successful cinnabun!

It lasted for, oh I don't know, a whole two minutes? But it's a start...

    It's growing!

I can just do a cinnabun. But its very thin, not something I'd probably wear out of the house just yet. I got some hair sticks too. Pretty wooden ones with shells on the end. They only just stay in. I'm not cutting my hair this year (though I might do S&D midyear or when I get splits) so it shouldnt be too long. I figure if I distract myself on here enough, keep wearing it up & treat it with neglect for a while It should grow in no time

Congratulations! I remember how happy I was to reach the stage of being able to make a real cinnabun that stayed... For a few minutes. Such a great feeling to know it's finally possible!

Then i graduated to one that would last for a couple of hours, I could wear it to work! Now I'm about 2-4" from APL and either I finally have enough length,or I've got the knack of doing buns now, but my cinnabuns can last the whole day if I don't bash my bun on the top of the car door opening getting in, LOL.
