    Default Hair growth 2008-present

This morning I was reading a post from another LHC who was asking about growing hair and someone remarked on how mnay of us have grown hair from a pixie. Well I thought about it and it occured to me that my hair really has grown incredibly fast. The first pic is from Spring 2006 but my hair was still about the same length if not shorter in Summer 08 but no pic from that time. I really started growing it out from Aug 08 but still had some major trims til I stopped going to the hair salon Winter 09. Just got tired of too mnay layers and not getting what I wanted done at that time. at that point my hair was about SL-SBL with many layers. I think my hair grows pretty fast when I think how long it has grown. I just want people to realize that you can grow from a very short trim you just need to have patience and get thru the awful layer wars! I was os tempted to chop at the point where the layers just were so ugly and unruly! What I did when it got bad was pin it up and griited my teeth!

first pic is 06-08 length, second pic is Feb 11, last is Nov 11.

Thank you I'm envious of your curls!! My mum has curly hair and so far it has only shown up once every generation! On BOYS no less! My DB has ahir that spirals if allowed to grow longer than 3 inches and my son has incredibly coarse waves! Most people assume becaus ehis hair is blond it's soft but nope he makes a greta Peter pan as it grows out and we can make it stand on end! I wonder who will have th enext curly boy!

Thank you! Curls are so temperamental, though.

Amazing growth, and very inspirational! I'm currently trying to grow out some layers and I'm resisting the urge to cut and just putting my hair up and trying to forget about it. It's good to know there's a light at the end of the awkward phase tunnel
No specific goal for now, just trying to practice benign neglect.
