I seem to have the same feeling, my hair is approaching waist length (the longest layer) but I don't quite sense it is longer than 6 months ago. It feels like no real difference.

Right now, I'm below BSL and hoping to be at waist by the new year. My hair grows pretty fast. I don't have a measuring tape and never took back of the head shots until now, so I haven't been good about monitoring the growth.

This was my hair last October:

I have to admit, I was the queen of insane hair dying for about five years straight. I was always going from blonde to red to black to caramel, long, short, curly, straight, wavy...you name it, I did it (er, minus the mullet). I'm finally committed to having long hair, though, so I've stopped dying it. Right now, I try to only curl it with heat once every two weeks, and I never straighten it. Also, olive oil before showering has been faaantastic.

What do you guys think? I am close to waist, but don't feel I can claim it until it's more solidly there and the layers catch up. I am SO tempted to cut to closer to BSL to thicken the hem but I may wait until Christmas... opinions...

just an inch or two and you're there for sure.
I hear you about the layers, though, I have those myself. I'm going to have a series of mini cuts as they grow out.

Since I was here my waist - bsl distance seems to have changed o_O

It's only about 3" away from BSL - but im at the very top of bsl now, with my industrial strength bra's the straps are 2" at least - so i'll call it 6" to waist.... Should be this time next year then :3 hopefully earlier - I miss long hair so much

Thanks!! Ugh layers are seriously the bane of my growing existence. My hair isn't super thick so I know the hem would look better without layers, but layers suit my face shape better so it's a bit of a toss up,
