Ugh. I'm so close I can taste this milestone. I am literally an inch, maybe an inch and a half, away. Benign neglect and the lack of a computer helped. I wasn't on LHC obsessing over hair, but now I'm back and I want my milestone! ::sigh:: At least my layers are finally long enough for french and dutch braids to look decent. I'm crossing my fingers for APL by November. It would be nice to hit a milestone and my year anniversary for LHC around the same time.

I think I'm growing back to APL.Keeping my layers at the same time. If I can stand my hair by APL with layers, I'll keep it that long and perhaps grow it longer.
Without layers, I've always felt my hair was just a solid mess of skinny strings flat against my head after a certain length. But I do love hair. I may wind up...medium-long.My hair is tough that way.
My avatar isn't my current hair; it's an older hair length. My current layered length is in my album. Those aren't split ends or damage; they're blurry bits because my phone camera is awful! 3/4 of the hair you see there is henndigo. About the top 1/4 or so has boxed dye on it.
The hair in my avatar was a reeeeeeeeally good hair day. It was very rare. I had bun waves in that picture. I'd like to grow it similarly but in long layers to see if it has movement...we shall see!
GlennaGirl your hair is so close to APL you should be there in no time! I love your colour too, I know you said it's the camera phone that made it look like plum but I think it's gorgeous on you.

No trims in 2013!
nape ... SL ... APL ... BSL ... WL ... Hip ... TBL ...and then?
My hair is just past my shoulders, and Ive been trying to take really good care of it. Im going to try the challenge and wear my hair up every day for a few months so that time will seem to pass by faster.
Does anyone know the average time it takes to grow from shoulder to apl?
Count me in! I've just reached shoulder length and can't wait to get past it. Right now it's 100% humidity outside and I've got the giant puffball/Triangle of Doom thing going on. I'm hoping this will lessen as my hair gets longer.
I was inspecting the ends of my top layers and notice I still have damage on them. I'm torn between just leaving it alone to get a bit longer or trimming them since I just find cutting my hair whilst I'm trying to grow it so counter-productive. APL seems ages away and it'll just feel even longer time frame if I trim. Plus since my hair has grown a bit it's starting to thicken up again now and I can control the layers a bit better so I'm not ready to give that up yet.
Chin - Shoulder - APL - BSL - Waist - Hip - Tailbone
- No Heat - Veggie Dyes - No Cuts -
I'm growing out a graduated bob. So my front pieces are soooo much longer than my 18" at the back. I'm torn about cutting them to even things up. I'm leaving my hair naturally curly and wearing it up more in an attempt to leave it alone
I'm almost 19 now, maybe I could say I'm 18.9![]()
