This is the thread for me! I'm in that awful in between stage where I can't do a bun unless I fake it with a sock bun. It's annoying when you're at flip length because yes, when it's on your shoulders it really does flip - not exactly the look I am going for! I am dying for it to get to APL. Hopefully by December! I'd like to be able to use my hair forks from Etsy again. I am babying it to death (well except for the crimp day!!) and the hemline looks great. I hope I can keep it that way.

I've got the summertime growth spurt happening, YAY! I gained 3/4 inch in 3 weeks, so I am thrilled. That castor oil concoction sounds nice, and I think I'll give it a try. I use camellia oil on my length regularly, and the occasional coconut oil on the ends. I also use Nightblooming's Panacea salve, the stuff is yummy beyond belief. Leaves my hair feeling silky and smells divine. My hubby loves it when I use it right before bed, then he gets to smell it all night long.

Gwen - it took me about 2 years to go from 16 inches to 29 inches. To gain that 13 inches I also trimmed off quite a bit, trying to get rid of damage. What I would do is to take your average growth rate and extrapolate. Then subtract a bit for trims and that will tell you how long it should take for you. Everyone is different, some people grow very slowly and others get an inch every single month, sometimes more (I totally envy them).

Spitfire- the rooibos tea spray is very intriguing. I'll definitely give it a shot. Thanks for the tip. I'm currently at UBL and I am resisting the urge to cut it to a bob that is all one length. (my layers drive me mental). I think this is going to be the hardest part.

Congrats to everyone who has graduated !! I just had a trim and new layers put in. This puts me back about a couple of weeks in length for the back, and a month for the front, but I'm happy to have nice hair again

Im trying to get there too. I use to be on this site a long time ago, and now im back after years of having my hair adventures lol. My siggy shows my current length. Back in Dec/Jan I had cut it to about chin - which I didnt want, she went overboard, and it was supposed to be shoulder. Anyways it feels like I have been at shoulder forever, it is just now looking like its past my shoulders. Im hoping by december I will be at APL or past it.

At the farmer's market this morning someone told me I look like Marlo Thomas from That Girl. Fantastic.
