This is a good idea. Last time, I used a measuring tape under my arms and looked at how the hair fell naturally over the top of it, which gave me a good idea of how long it was without dragging it down.

Jaine! We really are hair twins.

I also have a layer that is way longer (on the left side) but I let it be because I have more hair on the right side. Don't feel ashamed, it's good to have symetrical hair, looks good and you didn't lose length.

hello! im feelin shy cos im new!

im kind of at collar bone length plus i think!
the back is definetly shoulder length but the sides are not quite yet! anyway just want to give u all a wave and say IM IN!!!

Look how close to APL I am!!! Maybe only one more month or two?

It needs a brushing and my hemline is a little crazy from not cutting for 15 months, but you get how my hair looks. I also included my first real hair length shot so you can see my progress.

Takes me forever to gain any length. I need regular trims (about every 3 months to keep ends healthy). Plus I get about 5" of shrinkage from wet to dry due to my curls. And it ain't APL to me until I see my hair there dry/curly. Happy new year to you guys too!  Hugs to you all from all of us. With wet hair, I'm almost at BSL.
