Grow grow grow, where it stops no body knows.
Just found this thread! I cut may hair short (chin) last April, which was stupid with a capital S. I have regretted it since. I have had a few trims and colorings, but it is now just below shoulders and heading to APL. I am planning on getting it dyed one final time back to my natural color, but then leaving the color alone. I probably will not trim unless I get splits or need it shaped a bit as it grows. I also want to get rid of my layers, but need to wait until it is longer or I will suffer from poofy-triangle head. I am hoping that I can get to APL by June, my hair grows fairly fast when treated well.
I'm so close to APL... only an inch left gooooo!
This is for everyone in here, but especially for triumphator![]()

I'm at a very awkward stage with my shortest layers approaching chin length and my longest layers just past shoulder. This length always makes me feel frumpy.
Did anyone else go through a similar awkward stage at the same lengths with layers? I feel like the layers are dragging down my face. Does it get better if I leave it alone? Or should I get a stylist to blend in the layers so it's not so obvious where they end? Chunky layers ending right at my chin...awkward!!!
I struggled for 10 years to get past this length and always ended up cutting it myself in the bathroom, to just above shoulder length with cheekbone-length layers, to make it flattering again. So I don't think cutting it on my own will work - I need to either leave it alone or get a real stylist to work on it.
