Congratulations Ravenwaves... I'll have to visit you in the waist-hip or tailbone to say hello

Peregrine, hopefully reaching wl will be a consolation for you, ... sort of making up for all the trimming. It'll get better

I can't believe I've been on this thread for a year next month....wow. I don't think I've been this dedicated to many things for so long....lol.

    Thank you Peregrine and Spring!

I am sooo close to waist too (at least my longest layers are) but I think I'll stay on this thread until most of my other layers catch up!

Well, I think I'm in denial, because I keep checking, but my hair is definitely hitting my bra strap now! So, I would like to join you all!

I had a chin length bob in April 2009. My hair was so damaged by commercial dyes, flat ironing & bleaching. I didn't really read much here until this past March, so, It hasn't been long that I've been treating my hair much more gentler. I have noticed such a difference!! I just love the valuable info here! My hair is growing much faster now.

Anyways, that's my intro to this thread....here's hoping for waist length soon!

ETA: Oh, my avatar pic is over a month old, and it was after I just used a cassia treatment & scrunched it to air dry. It can get super curly and I lose length that way. Usually, I air dry my hair straight with oils, & it's just slightly wavy.

After my shower last night, I decided to check my length. I don't wash my hair every day and I didn't last night so it was dry. I was amazed to see how close my hair is to my waist! I have maybe about 2 inches to go, which I'll hopefully achieve by the end of this year.

Oh that is a great way to show the difference in growth - very clever!! I'm sure you will get to waist by the end of 2010.

Congrats Ravenwaves! Your hair looks so thick and nice, and truly waist length (IYKWIM).

I saw a thread about Eqyss horse products promoting growth, and I got some last week to try and get out of my 'almost waist' rut. I will measure again on my birthday (next week, I am getting too old) and see if I've gained any length. It doesn't feel like it...
Starting length: 25.5 inches Mini Goal: 30 inches (waist) Goal: 35 inches (hip-ish)
Time to stop obsessing, and start enjoying my hair! If it grows, so be it.

I wanted to take a decent shot of my hair on vacation last week. After my mom took a half dozen shots I handed the camera to my 12 year old nephew and he got the perfect one. lol. I was hoping to get the ocean behind me but the light wasn't cooperating.

So looking at the picture it looks like maybe more than half is my natural color? I didn't realize I'd gotten that far... weird to think the strawberry ends were black a couple years ago. I'm seriously considering henna... maybe just a little bit? I don't think I was meant to be blonde... but I made a deal with my mom I wouldn't dye if she grew her hair long. It's barely touching her shoulders and she's already twitching and complaining it looks scraggly.
